Farah Agha is a dynamic business leader, from a seasoned business family with over three generations operating in steel, shipbreaking and textiles.

At eighteen years, she started a Direct Database Marketing Company and at twenty-three years procured, installed and successfully ran the largest open-end spinning mill in South Asia. She also set-up a state-of-the-art tracking company, which is now the second largest operator in Pakistan.

More recently, she created and headed a real estate private equity fund in the UAE, headed the largest property investor group and has been instrumental in working closely with the UAE government on drafting of specific legislation and issues faced by infancy of its real estate industry. She returned to Pakistan to set up a steel project and coal fired power plant to capitalize on the changing business dynamics due to CPEC. She is also the first female director to be on the board of Pakistan’s first and only International Bulk Terminal, PIBT.

She was invited twice at the age of twenty-eight, by the USA State Department for an International Mentoring Partnership Program where she was mentored by the second most powerful woman on the Fortune Magazine List, Anne Mulcahy, Chairmen and CEO of Xerox and engaged with the First Lady Laura Bush, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. She was amongst the select few from within the group subsequently chosen to attend and speak at the Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit.

Ms. Agha represented Pakistan on the SAARC Women’s Council and accompanied Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz’s delegation to Shanghai amongst other Prime Ministerial and government delegations to various countries. She has also conducted mentorship programs through the Export Promotion Bureau for women entrepreneurs. She has received an award from the Government of Sindh in 2007 for outstanding and meritorious services rendered for the country through business.

Ms. Agha has a double masters in finance and marketing with local and international business experience. She has taught Econometric, Accounting and Finance as visiting Faculty at L’ecole and PAF- KIETS. She has completed the National Security Workshop 20 and ICPECW at the National Defense University, Islamabad and is currently on the Committee of the Alumni Association Network for Sindh. She is currently teaching Strategic Financial Analysis and Design at the Masters level at the institute of Business Management. She is a currently Managing Committee Member and Convener Automation Systems at the Karachi Gymkhana Club.

She has been interviewed by CNN, BBC and The National Newspaper of Abu Dhabi on UAE property related matters.
